Professor peri is the head of the Rothschild Caesearea School of Communications, head of Chaim Herzog Institute for media, Politics and Communication and a former political advisor to the late Prime Minister Rabin. Donations are appreciated.
- Wednesday, November 5, 2008 Jewish Book Fair - Sponsored by Kolel and Na’amat Canada. 6:30 PM . $36 per person Friday Night Suppers with Bonnie Stern. Bonnie Stern’s newest cookbook focuses on Friday night dinners that bring the warmth of family, friends, and food together. Treat yourself to a special “Shabbat on Wednesday” complete with delicious tastings.
- Wednesday, November 5, 2008 Jewish Book Fair - Sponsored by Kolel and Na’amat Canada 8:00 PM , $10 per person The Gender Agenda Rabbi Elyse Goldstein’s latest book, New Jewish Feminism (foreword by Anita Diamant), looks at the growth and accomplishments of Jewish feminism, asking whether the next generation of young Jewish women is braced to tackle new issues or do they see Jewish feminism as their mother's issue? Rabbi Joseph B. Meszler is the author of A Man's Responsibility: A Jewish Guide to Being a Son, a Partner in Marriage, a Father and Community Leader, unearthing the male stereotypes in Judaism that colour the expectations for what it means to be a Jewish man in today's world.
- Sunday November 9, 2008 - 2:30 p.m. Borochov Cultural Centre - Holocaust Memorial Lecture - special guest speaker, Kathy Kacer Author, Kathy Kacer, will give a talk about the effect of the Holocaust on her family. A child of two survivors, Kathy grew up with stories of war, hiding Jews and concentration camps. These stories of survival were an inspiration to her, growing up, and have influenced her writing. Come hear Kathy’s historical fiction and true stories about the Holocaust. Entrance fee to this program is a donation to Na’amat Canada Toronto.

The play is: "A Glimpse of the Light" - A love story spanning the events leading to the birth of Israel, from illegal immigration to life on a Kibbutz as told through the eyes of a group of Holocaust survivors, who, in the process, became participants in the greatest Jewish adventure since Biblical times.. This is a Musical by Ben Finn, Directed by Ari Weisberg, Choreographed by - Nicole Hapke with Musical Direction and Orchestration by - Floydd Ricketts

- Saturday December 6, 2008 at the Borochov at 8 PM. Join Club Aliza at their annual sing-a-long/folk dancing - Pre Chanukka Party with Yitzchak Argaman and Shoshi Frank. It will be a great evening with Folk Dancing, Ballroom dancing ,live music and refreshments. Cost is $20.00 per person

- Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 2 PM – Club Masada Dollars for David annual Program at the Borochov. Shlomo Schwartzberg, chair of the Jewish Film Society will be talking about the image of the Jew in film and television as portrayed by Hollywood and Israeli cinema. His talk will be illustrated with film and TV clips. Entrance is by donation to the Annual Dollars for David project. For a tax receipt a minimum donation of $25 is required.
- Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 11.30 A.M. for Brunch -at Beth Radom, 18 Reiner Road, Downsview ON M3H 2K9 Club Beersheba and Club Aviva in partnership with Beth Radom Sisterhood are having a fund raiser. Rona Arato will be launching her new book, "Courage and Compassion: Ten Canadians Who Made a Difference”. Cost is $36 per person. Autographed copies of the book will be available for sale.

It is taking place at the Borochov Cultural Centre. Guest speaker is Dr. Deborah Dwork, Rose Professor of Holocaust History, Director of Strassler Family Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University.

As Passover approaches, Club Mali is busy baking their never to be forgotten Biscotti. They are almost sold out – but if you call the Na’amat office right now, you may be able to purchase one of the few remaining bags.
- Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2006, 8:00 PM – Let Club Tamar show you some new tricks to simplify Passover using Tupperware. This fundraiser, open to the community, is designed for anyone who celebrates the holiday – whether it’s your first time or you’ve been doing it for half a century. Location – 30 Capstan Gate (East of Keele, North of Steeles)
- Sunday, March 4, 2007 at 7 PM – Come out to Club Aliza’s Purim Ball. A full course meal with wine, prizes for the best costume and much more – all for only $75.00 per person. It will be held at the Magnolia Banquet Hall – 1520 Steeles Ave. West, Unit 121 (the North West corner of Steeles and Dufferin). Please reserve your table in advance by calling the Na’amat office
- Tuesday, March 6th.- Black Tie and Pearls - Na’amat Gala will be held at Le Parc The funds raised from this event will be put towards the renovation and refurbishment of the bedroom area of the Glickman Center in Tel Aviv. The event is being co-chaired by Laurel and Gary Wiseman and 2 non-Na’amat members, Mariel and Irwin Michael. Our special musical guest for the event is AMY SKY!! The evening will feature a live auction, a silent auction, and a special on-site fundraiser. We will also be showcasing a new video made especially to highlight the need for the renovation work at the shelter. Tickets are $180.00 per person and dietary laws will be observed.

- Sunday, March 18, 2007 – Club Rimon will be holding a Children’s Party Monday, March 19, 2007 from 7:30 to 10:00 PM – Club Aviva are holding a pre Passover schmoozing and wine tasting (from Simcha Wines). Tickets are $18.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door. Call the Na’amat office to reserve your place.
- Wednesday, March 21, 2007 – Na’amat Toronto Women’s Seder. We will be serving dinner and the cost will be $36.00. It will be jeld at The Borochov Cultural Centre
